Antiques Shop

During my visit to Kerala last year, I came across an antiques shop. The shop had lots of its wares exhibited outside the shop. While no doubt, these were very attractive, what I really like about this photograph is the color of the wall in the background. It provides a perfect contrast to all the items placed in front of it.

I agree with you Sudarshan. The lack of the human element in the picture does lend it a little bit hollow. However, at the time I took the picture, the shopkeeper was busy with some foreigners deep inside the shop and I had a ferry to catch to return back to mainland kochi :-)
I think these objects are interesting enough on their own to not need the human element. And the background color is definitely nice to work with. Did you get any macro shots of any of the objects? I think an interesting shot would have been to get a sharp macro of one of them, with a medium DOF, so that the wall color and some notion of the other objects are also visible.
