Contemplating Vaishnava

Yesterday I had been to a small village near Hoskote for a temple festival. Devout old men have always fascinated me and this person fitted the bill quite well. Sometimes I wonder with the present generation giving up all the traditions of the past, will we have such folks in the future ? I do hope so...

Looking at Europe - you should be sure that the tradition will be given up, but...
1. Asia's certainly not Europe
2. Europe's traditions are not completely given up. It's just culture which is changing all the time (ie - Greeks then Athens then Christians then ...)
Anyway - like I said before - I'm amazed with the mental side of India and I do hope so that India will always be the cultural springboard for the west.
Btw. great shot! You have great sense for taking live portraits. Rather rare I think.
Take care!

yes, times are changing with a rapid pace now, and people are now are adapting to the new requirements, people are evolving and past traditions will be rewritten with new ones.. the basics will never change, just the way it is done will be changed.. kind of remixed music.
Awesome portrait!
And regarding the discussion - I guess the comment window is a little too small.
Keep the pictures coming :-)

Shyha - I do hope India can present a spiritual facet to the rest of the world. Things are changing here too very fast.
Abhi - I agree that I would have liked to see more of his face but this happened really fast and I am glad I could get this expression at least :-)
Dilip - I hope your home environment changes soon :-)
