Pots

Kanchana and I had bought these pots from a roadside shop (they are quite tiny) sometime back and I decided to try out some of my lighting techniques on them. The first thing that struck me when I downloaded this picture was the washed out look on the top two pots. This was not quite apparent when I was shooting them. I was too lazy to correct this and so I just posted it. Over the weekend, would love to do some tweaking to get it right.

Nice shot Suyog.
Part of top most pot seems to be washed-out!!

Lovely Shot here Suyog! the lighting is amazing! yes the top pot is lighter thats why it must have got a bit washed out.. but still the shot is really good.. what light did you use? the pots are they big or small ones? i love the dark side too! real good work

I agree, lighting is just great..
well.. the top one might have been a bit darker, but ok. it makes a great picture..

Heck, blow out or no blow out, I just love this. The narrow lattitude is something digital folks need to live with :-)

Thankfully all details aren't lost, I just played a li'l with your photo in gimp, and it is possible to repair the damage digitally ...

Loved it man! Nice lighting...the subjects were top lit isnt it? you could have diffused it using tissue/soft cloth.

Good shot man !!
From the lower pot to the topmost pot, the intensity of light gradually increases.
It reminds me to ascend from the pit of darkness(ignorance) to the summit of light(knowledge).
Thanks for that !.
