East meets West

I think the title says it all. Once more an attempt of selective desaturation as the DOF was not as shallow as I wanted it to be and to get this person under focus, this seemed to the best option.

Location : Kalkunte, India

ISO: 50 || Aperture: f/3.5 || Shutter speed: 1/400 sec

Reminds me of Tom Cruise in TopGun :P
Awesome capture suyog! and the selective desaturation works great for this one! Lovely shot

Cool dude!!:D
This is a hilarious pic...nice shot.

Haha!

Hi Suyog, when shooting at night is it ok for me to used ISO 200 or 400? I have the problem of hand shaking, so my photos always come out with blur. I used ISO 400 for night, but a very high noise in my photo. I can’t take clear photos at night time, any advice besides using a tripod? I am a beginner, and I am using an Olympus mju-mini digital.

Coool One Suyog... :-)

hahaha.. quality!

Was this shot wide open? and ISO 50, that's on a digital camera?

cool shot, and I like the post capture treatment of selective desaturation. Good work!

Thanks for all your comments!

Wilson, shooting in the dark is indeed an art which I am yet to master. A tripod is a must! If you do not want to use one, jacking up the ISO is the only option to get some sharpness in the picture. The noise is an unwelcome guest in that case though. If all this needs to be done away with, the only alternative is rock solid hands. I am afraid that is the only info that I have.

Riff, I am not sure about what you mean by shooting wide open. I use a digital camera, Olympus C750
