A departure from my current village series. This picture is a result of some more of my experiments with macro lighting shots.

Ow - I really like that one. Kind of comic-book school for me.
Very intereseting and the shadow is great.

Nice one here suyog! i like the lighting for this one! but i am going to be a bit critical about the composition here! for me the shadow is the hero of this picture and is a little to the left would have liked it to be a little bit to the right! the other thing is the top of the hat cropped! would have loved to see the full hat! whatever said the lighting and form of the doll is great! i liked the shadow a lot :)
Thanks for all your comments guys!
Abhi, I am still a novice in photography and have no real secrets to share :-) I just play around with all the lighting options that I have and keep snapping. Some turn out to be disasters and some pretty good. But every step is a learning process and hopefully I should be getting better.
Nish, I really appreciated your criticism as that is most valuable to me. I saw the cropping much later and I thought I could live with it since it was so tiny :-) Regarding the shadow, I completely agree with you. I tried my best to get it as far as possible to the left of the picture but somehow the sharpness of the shadow was tapering off. I need to learn more about this before I can achieve that. Anyway these are just the first steps :-). Thanks once again for your comments.

What i ment to say about the shadow was the crop! would have loved more space in the left and a crop on the right.. very little i guess something like 15px on the small image that would bring the shadow at 1/3rd the space!
