Face to Face

Behind the temple at Melkote, my friend heard the sound of a peacock. Kanchana and I dismissed it as one could not expect to find a peacock in such an environment. But he still persisted and we came across this chap in a cage. It was mighty difficult to get some decent shots through the small openings. This was one of the better ones.

i've never seen such a closeup of one. good shot .. the halo actually gives a mysterious feel to it.

It looks quite different because of the angle..you can try burning parts of the beak to make it look better. Nice shot indeed

Regarding the softness around the beak, I agree. But shooting thru the cage was really tough.
