My entry for this week's contest on BSB pool. The theme for the week is Shadows. My photograph attempts to capture the grim threats lurking in the shadows for women in urban cities. The exotic colourful statue represents the urban Indian woman willing to assert her rights and freedom of expression. The dark shadows in the background however tell the unfortunate story that she is still looked at as a mere woman stalked by the vicious male dominated society as shown by the approaching hand.
