Clouded Yellow Butterfly
Getting back to now to what this blog was meant for - photography!
I am not so good in identifying butterflies or for that matter even birds, but I sure do love them. Google tells me that this is a Clouded Yellow Butterfly. If that is wrong, can someone correct me?
P.S. - Sorry for the slightly disturbing name and year info at the bottom. I am sure all of you must be having an idea why it is there :-) Have tried my best to keep it as inconspicous as possible.

Include a watermark covering the whole image there are many ways to make it as inconspicuous as possible...

If I can assume that it was shot around Bangalore, then clouded yellow would probably be a rare sighting. Again, looks like it can be different from common grass yellow. I suggest for accurate id and distribution of the species, send it to butterflyindia (a) yahoogroups.com where experts lurk.

Very nice macro Suyog. I like the warm yellow agaist the subdued background. The tree works well into this photo.
