Ramayana Today

Panchavati in Nashik was the place where Lord Rama spent a considerable part of his stay during his "vananvas". It is also reportedly here that Sita was abducted by Ravana.
Now Panchavati belongs to what is known as "Old Nashik". Like Bangalore, Nashik too is growing to be yet another mall-filled city.
This photo to me captures the fact that Lord Rama has now to share space with the trappings of the modern world.

Nice Picture .I have been to Panchavati long time back when i was staying Ojhar (near to Nasikh). Its a nice place.
This is a beautiful snap. The figues of Rama, Sita, Lakshman are a great contrast against the backdrop of the electric lines.. almost as if they are walking away from it ..
Nice concept, Suyog.
